Charity ride support

SALTO Systems, the wire free and wireless access control manufacturer, have assisted a charity cycle team from Citadines Apart’hotels to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Staff from The Ascott Ltd, the serviced apartments companyl, rode from ventral London to the resort of Southend to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, the UK heart charity.

Gabriele Alpi and Anthony Joseph of The Ascott Ltd, said: “Our staff wholeheartedly supported this ride which was in aid of a great cause and we raised over £1,100.00 for the British Heart Foundation. Our fantastic professional cycling gear, kindly donated by SALTO Systems, ensured we looked the part and undoubtedly contributed to the success of the day.”

Collectively, heart and circulatory diseases cause more than a quarter of all deaths in the UK, accounting for more than 159,000 deaths each year. Cardiovascular disease is an umbrella term for all diseases of the heart and circulation, including heart disease, stroke, heart failure and congenital heart disease. The cost of premature death, lost productivity, hospital treatment and prescriptions is estimated at £19 billion.
