Employer certification

The UK security contractor VSG has been certified as a Top Employer UK 2014. Part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, The firm has been officially awarded the title by the Top Employers Institute (formerly known as the CRF Institute) for its employee offerings.

The Top Employers Institute globally reviews excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people. It analyses employers based on criteria including employee conditions, primary and secondary benefits, training and talent development and culture management.

Fiona Ryland, HR Director for VSG said: “We know the 7000 people we employ in the UK are the heart of our business. Taking good care of them and providing opportunities for progression and development is vitally important to the success of our company. We’re really proud to be named one of the UK’s Top Employers 2014 as it shows we’re doing the right things for our great people. We are very proud to be part of this exclusive group of top employers.”

VSG has seen further success after recently winning nine regional British Security Industry Association (BSIA) security personnel awards.

VSG took three Best Newcomer awards across Scotland, Yorkshire and London, two Best Team awards in the Midlands and the South East, two Service to the Customer awards in Northern Ireland and Scotland and the Best Use of Technology award in the Midlands. All winners will now be put forward to the national judging stages, over the coming weeks. The final award ceremony will be at the BSIA’s Annual Lunch in London in July.
