Bank branches upgraded

by Mark Rowe

A case study from AB DNB Bank, part of the Norwegian financial services group. The bank, which has branches in Lithuania, co-operated with SEB VILNIAUS BANKAS bank to operate the largest ATM network in Lithuania. AB DNB Bank is also the third largest bank in the Baltic country.

To safeguard customers, staff and assets, AB DNB bank sought to upgrade its security, including branches around Lithuania. The project saw network cameras and network video recorders (NVRs) installed from the Chinese manufacturer Dahua Technology.

Among the cameras, the HDBW3300P, full HD vandal-proof network (IR) dome is IP66-rated for protection from weather and dust-proof, so that the products can withstand even the harshest weather the makers say. The cameras are also IK10-rated against vandal-ism.

The products are in use in 26 branches of AB DNB Bank in Lithuania, mainly covering the most important areas of the bank such as the customer desks, counters, lobbies and cash machines.

Dahua adds that its DH-NVR4216 network recorder can provide video with 1080P real-time live view, so that the staff can view at once in the control centre.

Tim Shen, Marketing Director at Dahua Technology, said: “Security in banking system requires the highest level solution among different verticals. Dahua’s solution provides the specific features that bank requires, such as WDR, HD as well as real-time playback. With Dahua’s video surveillance system, AB DNB Bankis capable of enhancing its security to provide a secured environment for the business and the employees.”
