AHD2.0 launch

by Mark Rowe

Y3K Europe’s AHD 2.0-1080P range will have its worldwide launch at IFSEC next month.

The UK CCTV distributors say that it’s the latest standard in HD CCTV aimed at combining the best of all the technologies while the firm adds being compatible with analogue equipment and already installed cabling. Cameras, pictured, work with conventional digital video recorders (DVRs), with resolution that is comparable to 1000TV lines analogue cameras. A user can connect AHD cameras and DVRs to produce megapixel HD (high definition) 1080P resolution. The transmission distance by coaxial cable can reach up to 500m, the company claims.

And the latest brand to join the Y3K line-up is PIMA Alarms, with its graded wireless alarms for residential and business applications that come with a video verification feature. Systems include: AlarmView, a wireless intruder alarm that offers visual verification; AVR, a visual verification add-on module for upgrading alarms; and Guardian, that gives 23 wireless channels with pre-programmed peripherals. Accessories include Intrusion and safety detectors, keypads and key fobs, sirens and repeaters. Systems and accessories are all available through Y3K Europe and its nationwide distributor network.
