Commercial Director

by Mark Rowe

Synectics has appointed David Petrook as Commercial Director. Leading UK and International teams, David will be responsible for identifying and developing global market opportunities for Synectic Systems, specifically focused on infrastructure, high security and public space.

With over 25 years’ experience in the security industry, David has held senior positions at DVTEL, Nice and Verint. David was also instrumental in driving the early adoption of IP-based solutions for digital video recording, and was one of the first people to introduce PC-based recording to the EMEA market.

This follows a number of international contract announcements from Synectics, including a security and safety management solution for Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and a multi-million dollar project extension for a Far East gaming client.

David, pictured, said: “I’m delighted to join Synectics at such an exciting time for the business, and to have the opportunity to build on what is already an impressive proposition for the UK and international security markets.

“I firmly believe in customer-driven solutions and look forward to working with the Synectics team to ensure a commitment to customer satisfaction is at the heart of global business growth.”

And Synectics Chief Executive Paul Webb said: “Our solutions are developed from a point of knowledge – understanding the challenges our customers face and delivering turnkey integrated systems that meet their needs. David’s extensive experience and technical expertise perfectly aligns with that ethos and will definitely be integral to our future success. He is a very welcome and important addition to the Synectics team.”
