Mersey, Scots contracts

The Scottish security contractor SecuriGroup has worked on the 3 Queens celebration of Liverpool’s maritime history. The visit of Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria ships was heralded as the biggest waterfront event in the city’s historyl. SecuriGroup says that it supported the safety and management of 1.3 million visitors to the Mersey event.

Joe Anderson OBE, the Mayor of Liverpool, praised the ‘hard work and close collaboration’ of the event support, the ‘back-bone of the major events in Liverpool’. SecuriGroup is to provide security services to the Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF), the free music event in Sefton Park at the end of August.

Glasgow-based SecuriGroup earlier was awarded the security provision to Harvey Nichols’ flagship premises in Edinburgh. And the firm was appointed as security provider to CBRE, the commercial real estate services and investment firm in a competitive tender process, to provide security services including guarding, key holding and mobile patrols to a number of sites in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
