Panasonic premium partner

by Mark Rowe

Pointer Limited has become the first UK installer to gain ‘premium partner’ status as part of the newly relaunched Panasonic security partner programme.

The Japanese manufacturer earlier this year invited installers in video surveillance to take part, with status determined by level of product training, sales volume and end user feedback. Premium status gives Pointer access to extra support from the manufacturer besides pre-qualified sales leads, via the partner portal; five year warranties, advanced replacement, training, technical and preferential placement within the Panasonic Where To Buy listing on the website.

Gerard Figols, European Category Manager at Panasonic, said: “Pointer have proved an excellent partner for Panasonic. The company’s expertise in high end, mission critical installations suits our product portfolio. We receive a large number of end-user leads requesting solutions or products every day. Premium partner status means Pointer will get first refusal on these opportunities.”

Glasgow-based Pointer Limited has been in business nearly 50 years. Director Sandy Rowan said, “We are delighted to have achieved premier partner status for Panasonic, which indicates the dedication that our sales and engineering team has to training and improving their market knowledge. We think that our customers can benefit greatly from Pointer being a premium partner of Panasonic, not least with greater access to support and replacement technology than with any other manufacturer.”
