Amulet award for c2c work

by Mark Rowe

Amulet, the specialist security business of the services contractor Churchill Group, was named the winner of the Partners in Expert Services – Public Sector category at the PFM Awards 2019 for its work for the train operator Trenitalia c2c Limited (trading as c2c). The awards category highlights partnerships between the public sector and service providers with specific skillsets, technical expertise and experience.

Darren Read, managing director at Amulet, said: “This win is a fantastic reward for the outstanding partnership between c2c and Amulet. A partnership whose success is the result of both parties working to understand and appreciate each other’s values. To be recognised in this way is a major endorsement of Amulet’s unique approach to delivering security solutions and a true reflection of how we are transforming the industry.”

And Lizzie Neave, group marketing and communications director at Churchill, said: “We are delighted to see this win for Amulet. We encourage all of our different service offerings to thrive for their own goals, alongside those of the wider group, so it is fantastic to see Amulet achieving this recognition.”

The work began in 2011, when the rail company partnered with Amulet for passenger safety. In 2016, the partnership expanded when c2c tendered for all security related services. Amulet was awarded the entirety of the security service contract, further strengthening the relationship between c2c and Amulet. With over 200 full-time security people working with the company, Amulet has supported c2c for almost a decade in various capacities.
