A December ballot saw a yes vote for a Business Improvement District at the Southern Cross Industrial Estate in Bognor Regis.
That made it the seventh BID industrial estate in the country. BIDs generally – so far they have generally been town and city shopping centres – pay a levy each year to go on initiatives to improve the trading environment, including security. Southern Cross has already set up a business watch scheme.
