Wireless Systems

by msecadm4921

Wireless security system is now in use at Keyo Agricultural Services’ new premises in North Lincolnshire.

The company approached Tag Guard Ltd looking for perimeter security and CCTV integrated with gates, barriers and access control. And the whole system has been provided from the range of security products developed by Tag Guard. Keyo Agricultural were looking for a security but wanted the system operational within a short time and avoiding the ground works and potential disruption that a cable linked system would necessitate.

The perimeter security uses TagAlarm IR70’s infra red detectors in a zoned system to avoid false alarms. Access to the premises is by motorised gates using key fob access control with a similar security access system for the entrance to the offices and other key areas such as the computer suite.

Visitors and unauthorised staff use an intercom system to talk to the office staff, identify themselves and gain admission. And intercom operates on GSM so a call to the office from the intercom is routed by GSM to the switchboard and when a visitor is identified the barrier/gate can be opened by pressing the hash key on the telephone.

The site is also covered by TagCam wireless CCTV linked to recording and monitoring equipment in the office area and via broadband to Tag Guard’s 24-hour control room.

Mark van den Bos of Keyo Agricultural Services says: "We were looking for a high level of security for our new premises and wanted the system operational within a short time frame, ideally with the minimum of disruption. I had not realised that wireless systems could do everything that cable-linked systems do but with a much quicker installation time and the benefit of minimal groundwork needed.

"The system devised and installed for us by Tag Guard has certainly met our requirements in all respects – it’s also simple to use and is working perfectly". Tag Guard is one of the UK’s leading specialists in wireless security systems for buildings and construction sites. For more information:
