by msecadm4921

Norbain has announced their continuing sponsorship of CameraWatch, a CCTV advisory body seeking to improving Data Protection Act compliance and best practice among users of CCTV.

CameraWatch is a not for profit company limited by guarantee, founded in May 2007.  Current members include CCTV installers, manufacturers and suppliers, plus end users, legal bodies and local authorities.

"We are extremely grateful to Norbain for their sponsorship," says Gordon Ferrie, chief executive and joint founder of CameraWatch. "Their continued support not only sends out a great message about the importance of compliance to the industry, but also allows us to continue promoting awareness of camera surveillance to all relevant parties."

"We’ve always seen CameraWatch as very worthwhile initiative and a focus on best practice is very much in-line with Norbain’s own values," says Alun John, Norbain’s CEO. "The importance of legal compliance and data protection continue to become more pronounced and we’re pleased to be able to do our bit in supporting their work."
