Bradbury CEO

The Scunthorpe-based steel security door, grille and cage manufacturer Bradbury Security has appointed Jim Connell as CEO. In a re-structure, the company founder Tim Strawson becomes chairman and other directors report to Jim Connell.

As chairman Tim Strawson who started the company in 1991, will focus on new business and product development.

Jim Connell is a chartered accountant by background. He was also instrumental in the development of Bradbury Security and recently re-joined the Group as Managing Director of Scottish subsidiary Newton Security Doors. Having overseen Newton’s move to new premises, Connell hands over the running of the Irvine factory to Operations Director Alex Gilmour.

Tim Strawson says: “I am looking forward to welcoming Jim to the Scunthorpe site. He is a valuable addition to Bradbury’s board of directors and has an excellent knowledge of our business and the security sector. The new management structure enables us to capitalise on recent successes and keep the momentum for future growth.”
