Critical Infrastructure date

by Mark Rowe

The opening of the second Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience Europe conference will see Ivo Opstelten, Minister for Security and Justice of The Netherlands, deliver an opening speech.

The event on March 4 and 5, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Den Haag Promenade in The Hague is hosted by the Ministry of Security & Justice and supported by The Municipality of The Hague and The Hague Security Delta, as well as other industry bodies.

Opstelten will provide an overview from the political position to the country’s and Europe’s changing position on security and the protection of its assets. The events of last few weeks in Copenhagen, Paris and Brussels will have had an impact on these views.

Fernando Sánchez, Director General of the National Centre for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CNPIC) of Spain, will highlight the developments in the recently announced ‘Constitution of the National Commission for Critical Infrastructure Protection, responsible for approving Strategic Sectoral Plans’ in Spain. The conference seeks to bring together stakeholders from industry, operators, agencies and governments.
