Loughborough University is the venue for the annual meeting of the university heads of security sector body AUCSO, hosted by Stuart Christie.
An ‘Any Questions?’-style panel and a talk by the Surveillance Camera Commissioner Tony Porter are on the agenda for day three of the conference, on April 16 – as is Gordon Meldrum, a Non-Executive Director at background screening company Agenda, formerly Director of Intelligence at the National Crime Agency.
AUCSO member-speakers include Peter Brinkley (Surrey) who was last year’s exchange ‘student’ in the United States; Chris Lewis (Cambridge) on how uni security heads can manage the new legal requirement to monitor extremism, as featured in the January print issue of Professional Security; Trevor Jones (Salford) on the ProtectEd project; and Sheridan Coulthard (Newcastle) on training.
The Easter 2016 annual conference is due to be at Salford University. Pictured: statues on Loughborough campus.
