Identity fraud training day

by Mark Rowe

Understand immigration legislation and save a potential fine of £20,000, say organisers of a central London event – a second Immigration and Identity Fraud training course. FM Contract Watch and The Security Watchdog (part of Capita plc) are jointly hosting the course to help Managers, Recruiters and HR Teams to understand immigration legislation and how to identify fraudulent documents.

Organisers say that after the introduction of tougher enforcement of immigration compliance by the UK Border Agency, companies must take steps to protect themselves in the event of an immigration investigation or compliance audit. The business benefits include:

•Minimising the risk of civil penalties by ensuring Statutory Excuse under the Asylum, Immigration and Nationality Act 2006;
•Compliance with all UK relevant employment and immigration legislation;
•Resourcing and employment best practice for HR and recruitment teams, in identity checks and prevention of illegal working;
•Mitigation against the risk of hiring illegal workers or fraudulent job applications.

The training is suited to a maximum of 20 delegates and will provide industry training on the practical implications of best practice identity and eligibility to work checks, and use real-time scenarios to leave delegates empowered with the knowledge and confidence to apply increased rigour to their checking process.

Venue: The Victoria & Albert Museum, South Kensington, London, SW1 2RL

Date: March 25

Cost per delegate: £160.00 plus VAT (inclusive of buffet lunch)
Telephone: 01844 260350 or e-mail [email protected] to book your place.
