An ingenious six-part series that could show up how powerful and everyday surveillance has become is about to be screened on Channel 4. Hunted, described by the broadcaster as a ‘real life thriller’, pits ’14 ordinary people on the run’ against ‘a team of experts’, ‘led by the former Head of Counter Terrorism for City of London Police’.
A trailer for the programme shows CCTV as one of the ways that can ‘follow’ people. Or as the trailer puts it: “We follow a path and invite people to find us.”
The first one-hour programme runs on Friday, September 11 at 9pm.
