Future of Policing

by Mark Rowe

David Boswell, Managing Director of the security contract company TSG, will address the Future of Policing Summit and Exhibition at the Wesley Hotel in London on October 13.

The event, put together by the University of Salford, seeks to look at the challenges facing UK police, such as the impact of cuts since 2010 and reforms to pay schemes and working practises in the wake of the Winsor Review.

Conference Producer, Julia Main, sought David Boswell’s input after reading about TSG’s commitment to modern, multi-agency security at event sites. His session will focus on his company’s cost-efficient, specialist services that support the conventional security effort, detailing the company’s capacity to fulfil a policing role.

Julia Main says: “I’m very pleased that TSG is taking part. It’s built around former police officers and has an excellent reputation in terms of training, professionalism and use of technology. David’s talk will be a perfect finish to the day.”

The Future of Policing Summit is chaired by Prof Colin Rogers from the University of South Wales. Other speakers include Gary Shewan, Assistant Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police; Louise Bladen, Director of Value for Money at the Home Affairs National Audit Office; and Brendan O’Brien, from the police recruitment consultancy the Bluelight Consultancy.
