Hackfe5t date

Wantage MP and former Government minister Ed Vaizey is among the invited speakers at Hackfe5t. That’s a new, bi-annual cyber safety event at Mansfield College, University of Oxford, on Thursday, December 15.

Titled ‘The role of insurance in managing cyber risk – the limits of liability’ the event’s being hosted by the BCS Internet Specialist Group, part of BCS, the former British Computer Society now the Chartered Institute for IT; and KLipcorp IP, a digital IP protection and cybersecurity company.

Howard Gerlis, Chair of the BCS Internet Specialist Group says: “This event will be a great opportunity for all those concerned with being cyber safe to discuss new developments, share ideas and network. We welcome anyone interested to come along and share views about this important topic.”

Also invited are BoxingGuru, a former intellectual property pirate and hacker; and representatives from the police and the University of Abertay.
