Interviews

Minister at Expo

by Mark Rowe

One of the main speakers on day one at the two-day UK Security Expo last week at London Olympia was Home Office Security Minister Ben Wallace, the Conservative Wyre and Preston North MP. After his morning talk, accompanied by Jane Cannon MBE, Director of Security Industry Engagement at The Home Office, he made a planned visit to the ASIS UK stand.

Pictured left, manning the stand of the UK chapter of the international security management body, are Mike Hurst and Graham Bassett. Mike said afterwards: “I with co Vice Chairman, Graham Bassett, were delighted to meet him and look forward to working with his department and initiatives going forward.”

For more background about Ben Wallace; visit the Home Office website.

More on the Expo in the January 2017 print issue of Professional Security magazine. The 2017 Expo is running at the same venue, on a Wednesday and Thursday again, November 29 and 30.

ASIS UK has its winter quarterly seminar plus AGM on December 6.
