Access platforms

by Mark Rowe

Vehicle mounted access platform product company Versalift UK, has delivered two new Euro 6 van-mounted platforms to Richards CCTV, the security installer.

Given the diverse nature of security tasks undertaken by Richards CCTV to its UK public, commercial, retail and industrial sector customers, the Versalift ETL36-F platforms will be used to install and maintain CCTV, access control and intruder alarms.

In 2016, the 13.0m Euro 6 ETL36-F was re-designed, the makers report. The emergency lowering valves are inside the pedestal within the load area for easier access and maintenance. New stronger, lighter booms have resulted in an outreach of up to 8.5 metres using the LMC load sensing system. It also has more than 300Kg of spare payload, plus a safe working load of 230kg.

Philip Luckman and Richard Swinscoe, Engineering Managers at West Midlands-based Richards CCTV said: “As soon as the Versalift was demonstrated to us we could see the benefits to the company. The machine sold itself with its ease of use for the operator and excellent outreach – vertical and horizontal. We were impressed by Versalift’s commitment to not only supply a good product but the reassurance that the service and technical backup is right there, should you require it.”
