Training

New website

by Mark Rowe

The counter-robbery training company StoneHawk has launched its new website. Simon Wilson, MD of StoneHawk, pictured, says: ‘The launch of our new website goes another step further towards raising the awareness of our recognised and approved #StopSmashandGrabs training. We know that by working closely with the jewellery, pawnbroking and watch industries, that we are making a significant difference at protecting staff, stock and brands.’

The website shows testimonials from jewellers, insurance brokers and trade associations endorsing the training. The trainers point to the aim of training staff to feel empowered and much more confident in their duties. Simon Wilson says that by providing staff with the skills to open and close their showroom effectively, raise their situational awareness during the day, to know what to do in the event of a smash and grab, how to provide the police with the best information and scene preservation, and also by raising their awareness of trauma and how this can affect them and their colleagues, retailers can make them much less of a target to criminals.

StoneHawk’s four-hour training course is delivered nationally at a retailer’s showroom or designated training suite and is available to independents and brands with multiple showrooms alike. Visit www.stonehawk.co.uk.
