Tavcom in Singapore

by Mark Rowe

The Hampshire-based training company Tavcom, part of Linx International Group, will be running its Practical CCTV Installation course at a new, purpose-built training centre in Singapore developed by Fonda Global Engineering Pte Ltd. The course will take place from December 9 to 13.

The trainers say that their new centre enables them to deliver its BTEC accredited, technical security systems training courses to students in the Asia-Pacific region. Tavcom has been providing training in Singapore for more than 20 years. Tavcom Sales Manager, Andrew Saywell says: “Our new training centre in Singapore has been modelled on our world-class facility in the UK. It includes fully equipped workshops where security practitioners from across the Asia Pacific region can get hands-on with security systems and put the theory they learn into practice.”

The first classroom course to be hosted at the centre is the five-day Practical CCTV Installation, for a BTEC Level 3 qualification. Like other Tavcom courses it combines classroom theory with practical experience of installing and configuring video surveillance systems, using high definition, analogue and IP equipment from manufacturers. Tavcom is also planning to run its Access Control, Intruder Alarms Installation, and Structured Cabling and Optical Fibre courses.
