On Thursday, August 17 we hosted the first Women in Security Awards Golf Event at The Belfry. Forty women from the security sector with all levels of golfing ability enjoyed a day of training with a golf pro on how to tee off, how to chip onto the green and successful putting. After lunch they headed out onto the Derby Course to play a few holes. The event was pulled together by Debbie Carter.
Awards on the day:
Funniest player – Jen Wilson
Best student – Letitia Emeana
Most stylish player – Mel Day
Worst player – Debbie Ashall (who managed to break a club!)
Worst potty-mouth – Sam Bamford
Most improved player – Emma Harris
The next golfing event is already being planned …!
