Running between September 13 and 15, 2013 at the International Centre in Telford, MLA Expo is organised by the trade association for the locksmithing sector, the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA). Four major sponsors and 75 exhibitors have already signed up to the biennial event, which sees locksmiths and suppliers meet to exhibit products and services, discuss industry trends and take part in training courses.
Dr Steffan George, development director for the MLA, pictured, said: โThereโs less than a fortnight to go to the event and weโre really looking forward to it. MLA Expo, which is taking place for the 17th time, has become one of the most anticipated events in the security industry calendar.

This month, MLA Expo – which has been running for more than 30 years – will be offering training courses covering topics such as CCTV, Safe Lock Picking and Lock Related Standards, among many others. Visitors will also be invited to a party night on the Saturday, September 14, offering them the chance to network with industry peers and enjoy an evening of entertainment after a day at the exhibition.
Over 1500 people are expected to attend the three day event, with exhibitors and visitors typically ranging from tool suppliers to practicing locksmiths, specialists such as heritage and auto locksmiths, manufacturers and suppliers along with associated companies. Previous exhibitions have seen visitors come from as far afield as Australia, China, continental Europe and the USA.
Global businesses Abloy, Mul-T-Lock and Yale, with ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions are official sponsors of the event, and will be occupying significant floor space to showcase their latest security products.
Visitors will also be able to enter a prize draw, with the top prize being a holiday in Las Vegas.
