Argus Event

by msecadm4921

The Counter Terrorism Section of the City of London Police are running a Project Argus event.

What is Project Argus ?

Project ARGUS is a National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) initiative, exploring ways to aid businesses in preventing, handling and recovering from a terrorist attack. It achieves this by taking businesses through a simulated terrorist attack.

Who should attend?

Managers and assistant managers in crowded places, either in a retail or office environment. Argus is free, and takes you through a realistic terrorist attack using a multi-media simulation. A series of questions and challenges are put to attenders, individually and as a group, and you will have to resolve them. You will work in small syndicate groups with other local business representatives. The whole event including a coffee break will last three hours.

This latest event runs on two half days; August 9, 8am to 11am, or Friday August 10, 8am to 11am, at the CH Rolph Hall, City of London Police Headquarters, 37 Wood Street, London, EC2P 2NQ.

Police anticipate that as with previous similar events, the demand for places will be high. Priority will be given, on this occasion, to licensed premises and smaller retail or office businesses located in the Square Mile. To reserve your place contact: [email protected]
