Bakery Network

by msecadm4921

Enline, a VAR specialising in network infrastructure and security, reports that it has strengthened its relationship with network security vendor, Stonesoft, achieving Premier Partner status. Enline will focus on reselling the Stonegate IPS and Advanced Firewall products, including both physical and virtual appliances, alongside the Stonegate Management Centre.

Recent wins for Enline and Stonesoft include a contract with Banbury-based, Fine Lady Bakeries, which produces own-label bread and morning goods for leading supermarkets, and sandwich makers. With the opening of a new £20m bakery in Manchester in 2010, Fine Lady Bakeries called on Enline to build a secure network covering its Banbury HQ and the new site.

Through Enline, Fine Lady Bakeries is using Stonegate’s ISP multilink and VPN Meshing technology, which is built into the Stonegate Firewall solution, to enable connectivity to their remote site and provide business class firewall security. This had enabled Fine Lady Bakeries to eliminate historically expensive point to point connections and add a solution that enables load balancing and business continuity should connections fail.

Darren Jordan, IT Manager at Fine Lady Bakeries, said: “We were delighted with Enline’s professional approach to our requirement which included delivery and ongoing support. The StoneSoft technology provides best in class in terms of resilience and functionality at a great price, a compelling proposition all round.”

Mike Nelsey, Managing Director at Enline, said: “We are delighted to be able to increase our commitment to Stonesoft at a time when they are proving their market leading capabilities in advanced functionality, ease-of-use and competitive pricing. This, and their leadership in combating the growing threat of advanced evasion techniques (AET) is proving to be a real winner with customers that are looking to reduce operational costs but not compromise on security. Driven by PCI DSS compliance, increasingly sophisticated online attacks including AETs, the Stonegate IPS, in particular, is generating healthy interest from our customer base."

Ash Patel, UK&I country manager at Stonesoft, said: “Stonesoft’s business is building quickly in the UK, with customers realising that we offer a serious alternative to the big security brand names. We’re investing in a small number of quality partners, such as Enline, that can help address the increased demand without compromising on the high consultancy and service levels that customers have come to expect from Stonesoft.”

As part of the partnership Enline is also rolling-out an end-user education programme in the UK based on Stonesoft’s Hack-The-Lab seminar series.

Enline will work with Stonesoft’s UK engineering team to deliver two Hack-The-Lab events over the next three months that will demonstrate the latest hacking techniques to prospects. The Hack-The-Lab events provide network and security managers with an insight into how and why attacks are being launched against their networks that they can then use to improve security processes.
