Bluetooth Add

by msecadm4921

Connexion2, manufacturer of the Identicom lone worker device, has launched a new addition to the Identicom range, the Bluetooth Identicom i350.

Working with the user’s mobile phone, the Identicom i350 removes the need for a second phone contract. According to the Sheffield-based product firm, it provides a discreet means for a lone worker to summon assistance, if threatened with abuse, for less than 65p per day, it is claimed. According to the firm, the use of a mobile phone, in a situation where there is threat of abuse or attack, is not only difficult, the phone not being to hand, but will often inflame the situation, putting the employee at risk. Disguised as an ID card holder, Connexion2’s Identicom device offers dual verification, opening a one-way voice call such that a third party can take action. The device includes a lanyard attachment that enables it to be worn around the neck as a standard ID and hides a ‘rip alarm’ function, which is triggered if the unit is forcibly removed from the wearer.

Craig Swallow, CEO of Connexion2, said: “Employers are under increasing pressure, to raise the level of protection that they provide their lone workers, from employees, unions, regulation and insurers. The Bluetooth Identicom i350 brings the market leading solution for lone worker security within the reach of every size of business, whether global corporation or owner-managed retailer.”

Connexion2 are making the Identicom i350 available through their SoloProtect full-service offering for £19.50 per user per month, inclusive of device, monitoring, training and their TotalCare support package. SoloProtect’s manned monitoring service means that the responsibility in case of an incident is not just handed to another employee, who may or may not be available.Trained certified security professionals listen to what is taking place and ensure a proportionate response, whether recording the audio for future legal redress or calling for a police response.

SoloProtect now supports three all-inclusive solutions, based upon Connexion2 Identicom products: SoloProtect with Bluetooth Identicom i350, an affordable solution based around the employee’s existing phone, at £19.50 pm; SoloProtect with Identicom i750, a fully integrated one-unit solution, at £29.50 pm; and SoloProtect with Identicom i770 with Man-Down, a fully integrated solution supporting automatic alarming in case of incapacity of the user, at £32.50 pm.

The Bluetooth Identicom i350 is now available to Connexion2’s partners and resellers, as well as to employers and end customers through SoloProtect.
