London Weighting<br><br>Brunel University is currently home to some 15,000 students, 3,000 members of staff and is a complex large multi-cultural diverse community, with external visitors and conferencing facilities.<br><br>An experienced high calibre individual is required to join the Operational directorate as Head of Security and Emergency Planning. The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of security services at Brunel University which will include developing, implementing and monitoring security strategy, polices and management of campus security. The role will ensure campus security operations consistently meet the needs of the University, provides a safe and secure environment for students, staff, visitors and takes full responsibility that all security operations operate within the law, University policy and the available finance budget (circa £1m).<br><br>The post will also lead, manage, train and motivate the security team to ensure the output of the highest levels of team and individual professional standards, customer service, security response and continue to meet the high standards of the current Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) awarded by the Metropolitan Police, the post holder should also be used to working and communicating at a senior level.<br><br>The post will include responsibility to develop, implement and maintain the Universities major Incident Response Plan and will be expected to work with senior colleagues in the development, training, implementation and delivery of the University Business Continuity Plans, which will include planning and running annual campus wide exercises.<br><br>The post holder will work such hours that may be necessary for the effective performance of duties, some out of hours working will be expected where events dictate.<br><br>Closing date for applications: 7 October 2011.<br><br>For further details and to apply please visit https://jobs.brunel.ac.uk/WRL/ <br><br>Human Resources, Brunel University, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB8 3PH. <br><br>COMMITTED TO EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND REPRESENTING THE DIVERSITY OF THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE
