Claire Gardner of Spotlight Security based in Bedford has been nominated as a finalist in the annual East of England Young Business Woman of The Year awards.
SWBAC Co-ordinator Andrew Sharman said: “We are exceptionally pleased to have the outstanding work of the partnership and our members recognised with the Safer Business Award. To achieve the higher distinction level within six months of creation is testimony to the commitment we have to ensuring the area is safe to work, visit and live in. Through the hard work of all involved, we can demonstrate that not only is crime being robustly challenged in our communities but that the partnership is a great ambassador for businesses in the area. We will continue to push the agenda of our members on the local, regional and national level as we strive towards our goals.”
John Swayne, Sedgemoor district councillor said: “Joining Bridgwater and Burnham business crime group with Taunton retailers against crime has strengthened the partnership network in dealing with retail crime and issues in the night time economy. The new Somerset West partnership works effectively with Sedgemoor’s CCTV service to give businesses the support they need in tackling crimes affecting their trade.”
