Cardiff City Council has appointed contractor Showsec to supply event security for their annual program of events.
Showsec’s Cardiff and South West Area Manager Ieuan Fury said: “We have a great team based in Cardiff of exceptional event security professionals, whether securing the flagship Cardiff International Arena (CIA), local festivals, student unions or supporting local authorities and emergency services.
“I believe our ability to deliver a consistently excellent service with the support of the companies national resources, as exemplified by our accreditation on the SIA Approved Contractors Scheme all helped with our selection. We are committed to working with Cardiff City Council to introduce security, crowd management and customer service initiatives to help them develop their events.”
The contract began in July with Wow at the Waterfront’ and ‘Admirals Cardiff Big Weekend’, three days of music headlined by Feeder and Athlete. These shows are both part of Cardiff Festival that includes live music, street theatre, open-air theatre, children’s entertainment and funfairs, highlighting the diversity of services Showsec supply.
