The Emergency Planning Society’s annual conference runs in Torquay on June 16 and 17.
Climate change is the main topic.
Sir Michael Pitt, Chairman of the South West Strategic Health Authority, was asked by ministers to conduct an independent review of the flooding emergency in June and July 2007.
The final draft of this review is due to be released in summer 2008 – it is with this in mind that Sir Michael has been invited to present his findings and recommendations to the delegates.
Day two topics are corporate governance, leadership and how Business Continuity planning is important for climate change.
