Winchester City Council wishes to relocate its existing CCTV control room, in Winchester city centre, to a new location on the outskirts of the city.
The new location is being refurbished to a finished shell standard under a separate contract. In addition to the relocation of the control room, Winchester City Council seeks to upgrade selected existing external CCTV cameras.
The works are expected to comprise; minor building works (comprising the supply and installation of a suspended ceiling system, internal partitions and doors, decoration and carpeting); the design, supply and installation of an appropriate lighting system; the design, supply and installation of local power supplies and ventilation/cooling systems; the supply and installation of CCTV monitoring, recording and control equipment / software; the supply and installation of suitable furniture, fixtures and fittings and the supply and installation of external CCTV cameras.
The contractor will be expected to carry out the seamless transfer of CCTV monitoring services from the existing control room to the new location. The tenderer will be required to provide preventative and reactive maintenance for installed equipment for three years.
