What organisers Brintex term a ‘Three-in-one’ trade show, Totally DIY: Totally Tools: Totally Secure, has introduced a new strapline, ‘It’s where the trade trades’, along with a picture of a tool box, to promote the show this year.

Visitor registration via the show website www.totallydiy.com has gone live. All pre-registered visitors, who also attend the show, will be in the running to win one of two free trips to Las Vegas. Previous winners of this trip have been the proprietors of independent hardware stores Bunce’s Home Hardware and Gill & Co.

Show sales director Paul Grinsell said: “The show is poised to grow again this year as it continues to exploit and develop its co-location with Spring Fair International and build on this year’s 15 per cent growth in space.”

The shows have been pleased to welcome back many of its regular brands and companies including, on the tools front – AW Tools, Abingdon King Dick, Amtech, Arrow Fastener, Cannon Tools, Draper Tools, Monument Tools, Positec Power Tools, Rolson Tools and Veto Tools.

In the DIY and hardware sector Big Wipes, Centurion Europe, Chain Products, Ciret, Coo Var, Gorilla Glue, Jegs Electrical, JMS Bridge, King Cole, London & Lancashire, Oracstar, Procter Brothers, Rothley, Select Hardware, Shurtape, Trimaco and Trollull (Oscar Weill) are all back for another year, and decorative product suppliers include Liberon, Plasti-kote, Rustins and Tor Coatings.

“Totally is where retailers, from the multiples to the high street, from garden centres to department stores and online and TV, come to find their DIY and related products and see them in action.

“This year we’re encouraging even more exhibitors to come and show off their products in our central show feature the ‘Retail Tool Box’, and we’ll be weaving some good industry research from the leading names in amongst the product demonstrations that will be of interest to visitors and exhibitors alike.”

The 2012 show will also mark the year the Shows started using social media as they now have their own Twitter account, @totallyshows and Facebook page, Totally DIY-Tools-Secure.

“In this way the show acts as a positive platform for getting news out to buyers long before the doors open in February!” said James.
