TDSi have developed and launched a new version of its eXguard PRO access control software. The product comes as a package with multiple applications.
The software is scalable and distributable which means that the end user has the choice of controlling systems consisting of one door to those with hundreds of doors using one PC or multiple PCs and can be placed on the network to administer, control and report on the system.
The product uses a database technology which removes any database administration costs, it is claimed.
The access control software supports all of TDSi’s legacy equipment, the makers add; thus a system can be upgraded to the latest software without having the expense of replacing existing hardware, according to the firm.
The new version of the software supports the Bosch Divar and the Baxall MDR digital video recorders, for integration of CCTV and access control systems.
Using the "ATM tagging" feature of the DVR, eXguard PRO can store text relating to selected access events against a recording. This allows later replay of the recordings relating to events from within the eXguard PRO application without the need for searching. With the use of "tagging" the amount of required storage within the DVR can be reduced as only recordings for access events need to be kept. No continuous recording is required.
