Nigel Petrie, Group Chairman at Dedicated Micros, says: ‘It is a great honour to receive the Queen’s Award, and is a fair reflection of the significant inroads we have made into the export market for CCTV equipment and expertise. Our ability to meet the needs of special applications opens up new opportunities for security system installers in many countries, therefore driving the demand for DM products on a global basis. Since we launched the world’s first commercially viable multiplexer 21 years ago, we have always focused on a simple but effective sales proposition – ease of use, high performance and real value for money ‘ a formula which works just as well overseas as in the UK. DM products like Digital Sprite enjoy an industry-wide recognition for their one-box solution. They bring all the benefits of the latest technology in a traditional CCTV format, designed to offer both installers and end users instinctive operation.’
