IFSEC: APS

by msecadm4921

The perimeter security product company Advanced Perimeter Systems Limited has been an IFSEC exhibitor for over 20 years.

From royal palaces to government buildings, oil refineries to prison compounds and military bases, the company’s security systems today protect sites in 28 countries.

The company’s current global marketability is reflected in the popularity of its website with visitors from no less than 175 countries in the last few months, generating enquiries from far afield including the USA and Australia.

Technical Director Andy Moon says: “We work hard to ensure that the highest standards of Quality Control are implemented to the benefit of our customers and focus heavily on Research and Development. Security system requirements vary around the world and indigenous regulations can deliver new and demanding challenges for our R&D team. Rising to meet those challenges is a key factor to our continued success.”

Multiview was officially launched at a previous IFSEC. The R&D team were asked to find a solution to a remote monitoring problem encountered by a client and came up with a network computer system that would allow data to be encrypted and also offer a secure logon. The product has proved the firm says suitable for use where monitoring of a site needs to be done remotely from a single location.

Flexiguard Microwave Barriers is a similar example. Microwave intrusion detection technology again developed by the R&D team that can a) act as a second line of defence behind an existing perimeter fence on top security sites and b) work in open space applications where there is no fence at all.
