IFSEC Exhibits

Video recording and networking products in the SISTORE range, new colour cameras and TFT flat-screen monitors for CCTV applications are among the new Siemens-manufactured products on the Siemens Building Technologies stand at this year’s IFSEC from May 16 to 19.

Also in the spotlight are motion detectors meeting the requirements for Grade 3 and Grade 4 applications as defined in the new EN 50131 regulations, including the first members in a family of dual-technology products, and a range of SiPass access control products, featuring the new AC5100 central controller which supports up to 64 doors and a million cardholders.

The new SISTORE products include the SISTORE AX four-input digital video recorder which is an option for smaller installations, say the manufacturers. For larger systems, the latest SISTORE MX recorder, with a maximum capacity of 32 cameras, will go on show, while, for visitors considering IP-based video solutions, the SISTORE CX4 intelligent video codec features a plug-and-play configuration system, it is claimed.

Also on the stand are the new Siemens 1/3-inch high-resolution CCD cameras, which are suitable for use with SISTORE products, it is claimed. The cameras incorporate digital signal processing technology, and a back-light compensation option to provide the best possible pictures, even under difficult lighting conditions, the makers say.

Among the motion detectors for EN 50131 Grade 3 and Grade 4 applications which Siemens is showing at IFSEC are new products in the IRM PIR/microwave dual-technology range. Three models are on show, all of which incorporate digital signal processing to ensure detection of intruders with the minimum risk of false alarms, it is claimed.

For access control applications, the stand is featuring SiPass products. Among these are the AC5100 central controller for installations with up to a million cardholders, ADD-series dual reader interfaces to link card readers with central controllers, and AKN-series dual reader/controller kits which offer a solution for smaller applications. The latest SiPass access control software is also being demonstrated throughout the exhibition.

To complement these new products, Siemens is showing a selection of popular products from its existing ranges, which cover virtually all aspects of building security.
