Internet Distribution

by msecadm4921

In the wake of numerous high profile data losses and an increasingly mobile workforce, organisations are demanding flexible, secure solutions that also reduce total cost of ownership, it’s claimed.

COMPUTERLINKS, a distributor of IT security and Internet technology, has signed a worldwide agreement to distribute SanDisk Enterprise Division Security Solutions. This includes SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise range of centrally managed encrypted USB Flash Drives. The agreement complements COMPUTERLINKS’ end point security products, which includes RSA, Lumension, Citrix and Check Point.

COMPUTERLINKS announced that it will be hosting a series of events to support existing resellers in maximising the market opportunity and also to recruit new channel partners.

The first event, scheduled for February 2009, will be a demonstration of how SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise storage keys integrate with RSA’s two factor authentication technology. A second event will also be held in February to provide existing and potential partners with a technical overview of the SanDisk Enterprise product range and details of the commercial benefits of joining COMPUTERLINKS’ Partner Programme. Resellers are invited to register their interest in attending these events, by emailing [email protected]

David Ellis, director of e-security, training and professional Services at COMPUTERLINKS explained “In today’s world where information is key, losing data stored on USB drives could prove disastrous for any organisation. Partnering with SanDisk and integrating their products with those from vendors such as RSA allows us to give our resellers competitive edge and a fast and effective solution to a very real business problem. The events will provide the first chance for many resellers to see the products in action and discuss their features and benefits first hand.”

Jason Holloway, Northern European sales manager at SanDisk said “COMPUTERLINKS has a unique combination of in depth security expertise and complementary technology partners that fits well with our desire to significantly develop our security channel and grow our market. Their relationship with RSA in particular provides further opportunities for growth.”
