At a recent meeting of information security people organised by The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) and hosted by Deloitte, specialists called for new Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) strategies to increase data sharing with new technologies, while mitigating security risks….
A report on the findings of the meeting is published on The Security Company’s web site.
"Awareness and training are key to helping employees understand and identify information assets and how to protect them," says The Security Company’s MD Sarah Janes.
"We live in an age where transparency and data sharing – using new technologies such as social networking and mobile devices – are vital to efficiency in business. But staff need to be trained to be aware of the security risks and how to protect both their professional and personal information. A solid KIM strategy is the perfect platform on which to achieve this."
