Infrared CCTV equipment firm Extreme CCTV reports the supply of 80 EX82DXL cameras to provide 24-7 day and night surveillance for telecom networks across Kuwait.
Local security firm Kuwait Computer Services (KCS) specified the cameras as part of what the installer describes as an integrated security management system for one of the region’s leading telecom operators.
Connected to a network of digital video recorders managed from a central control room, the EX82 cameras interface with the central OnGuard server, from manufacturer Lenel over a wireless communication network.
EX82, the makers report, is a dual sensor camera, which delivers colour images by day and +40m of infrared surveillance at night. Part of Extreme CCTV’s Integrated Day-Night (IDN) range, it combines camera, lens and Infra-Red illumination technology into a single housing.
KCS selected Extreme’s EX82 for its "no compromise", 24/7 surveillance capabilities. The camera’s all-weather housing and 6mm Lexan protective window also make it suitable, the makers add, for outdoor surveillance in the Kuwaiti climate. With its low voltage operation, solid state CCD technology and controlled regulated voltage, EX82 can operate for years without need for servicing or maintenance, the makers add.
