Lone Worker Partnership

by msecadm4921

The telecoms firm Orange has selected Guardian24, the UK provider of lone worker safety solutions, as its partner for their Lone Worker from Orange safety product in the public sector….

Guardian24 provides mobile and smartphone-based technology to allow lone workers to log daily tasks, GPS locations and to raise an alert in times of need. The company will now partner with Orange on its ‘Lone Worker from Orange’ service.

This service aims to help public sector bodies support their staff who work alone and to meet their legal obligations to ensure the safety of staff working alone.

Guardian24 has over 35,000 UK subscribers and already works with over 400 public and private sector organisations. These include Fife Council, Hyde Housing, Genesis Housing, Hospice of the Valleys and Fermanagh District Council. The system is also used by 12 of the G15 Housing Associations and by almost 30 NHS trusts across the country.

Jim Irving, CEO of Guardian24 says: “Lone working is a growing trend in many organisations, and it is imperative that employers do all they can to support their staff and comply with legal requirements and obligations such as The Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974, The Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act, 2007 and The Health and Safety Legislation Act, 2008. We are delighted to be working with Orange in the provision of its Lone Worker solution.”

Using Guardian24’s device-agnostic technology, ‘Lone Worker from Orange’ can be used on a variety of hand-held devices; users can pick personalised, tailored service, the firm says. Features include a discreet panic button, emergency response, 24/7 access to an alarm receiving centre, and timed activities so staff can log in and out of daily tasks and state how long they’re likely to take. Also, lone worker training and consultancy services can be provided.

Organisations also have access to Guardian24’s online web portal which displays live user information including GPS locations and allows management to respond immediately in the event of an incident.

Public Sector organisations can now purchase Lone Worker from Orange powered by Guardian24 via their mobile bill for simplified billing through one supplier.
