May Issue Out

by msecadm4921

The bumper 190-page May issue of Professional Security magazine is out.

This is the annual IFSEC preview edition. Besides our look at the NEC show from May 8 – there is a marked guarding slant to the show, according to organisers – the cover article features fraud investigators and consultants Allan McDonagh and Caroline Waddicor.

Over the breakfast table – well, they do use a bagel seller to prove their points – they describe their doubts about whistle-blowing as a way of getting to the bottom of fraud. And they go on to explain what they do advocate, as a means to get useful staff leads about fraud and other wrong-doing in their place of work.

There’s the last part of our long-running look at sports stadia security, and a case study of a Coventry City game at their Ricoh Arena; and the latest about the Security Industry Authority and their approved contractor scheme, including comment from gaurding company directors. Plus the usual news, views, book reviews, products and spending the budget pages.
