Retail guarding firm AFC Group has appointed John Roddy as UK Managing Director.
The Wigan-based guarding firm reports that John has been with Initial Security Limited during the past eight years, managing businesses across various sectors including banking and finance, facilities management and the retail sector. Until recently, John was the UK operations director responsible for regional, branch and national operations portfolio and introduced numerous key initiatives to assist both the strategic and business development of the organisation.

About the firm
AFC Group, which has gained approved contractor status from the SIA, was called Antec; the present name arose from the acquisition from retail guarding firm Frances Clarke. AFC offers store detectives, uniformed officers, covert and internal investigations, and audits.
