Swedish firm Portendo, which specializes in anti-terrorism technology, presents the P.Eye laser-based stand-off explosives detector at Intersec Middle East in Dubai, UAE on January 13 to 15, 2008.
“We will showcase our first product, the P.Eye stand-off explosives detector, which is the first commercial solution to assist military troops and security personnel in finding and identifying hidden bombs at safe distances. Portendo’s P.Eye will have a significant impact on security, both for civilians and for security personnel employed to clear areas from threats,” says Pierre Strömbeck, Managing Director of Portendo. According to the firm the product assists police forces and security staff in detecting and identifying explosives threats and harmful chemicals from a safe distance.
