CCTV monitoring station IWatch has agreed an exclusive partnership with Panasonic Systems Distributor, CCTV Center.
The partnership offers installers a 24-7, IP based, remote surveillance solution. CCTV Center distributes Panasonic’s I-PRO CCTV network surveillance range throughout Ireland. These security cameras, domes and network disc recorders connect alongside computers and routers on a standard IP network. Secure access to the network is given to iWatch for site or individual camera monitoring. I-PRO includes management software for remote viewing and control, but the remote monitoring service offered by iWatch has many additional benefits. IWatch provides 24/7 monitoring and has a back-up system in case of network failure, power failure and other potential disasters. Site incidents are detected and action taken; such as asking unwanted intruders to leave; informing key holders of intruders; or requesting a police response.
An IP system can be adapted and expanded in single and multi-site applications – usually without the need for extra cabling and disruptive installation work. I-PRO can integrate with other on-site security systems, including intruder alarm and access control equipment. It can power products over the IP network connection (Power over Ethernet), adding RAID storage and remotely managing system back-ups. Monitoring also opens up site management such as gate activation and door control. Installers can also benefit from remote maintenance options with many system set-up functions now taking place off-site.
The total "cost of ownership" of networked CCTV systems is less than analogue, the firms add. The result, they say, is reduced false alarms, no unnecessary call outs and improved crime prevention. These, in turn, lower site insurance costs and enhance personal safety.
I-PRO, network and remote monitoring training courses are available to CCTV Center customers and can be booked on 01494 887350.
