Multimode Fibre Usage

by msecadm4921

Following the launch of the COE Series 4 digital transmission product, COE launched new variants to the range, which has been expanded to include units for Multimode fibre usage.

Aimed at the town centre and urban traffic control markets, Series 4 enables efficient use of optical fibre networks, says the firm. It is designed to cope with the harshest environmental conditions and with the launch of the multimode fibre versions COE can now apply this technology to many existing fibre networks. Available in Eurocard to boxed format, with all connections provided, automatic management of the 10bit digital circuitry is featured throughout, providing stability over time, temperature and path loss.

COE report that the Series 4 uses the latest in optical components, enabling transmission distances of up to 4km on multimode fibre. Combining video and data signals on a single optical fibre, the four real-time, uncompressed video channels provide consistent, predictable performance, and support the latest CCTV and alarm communications systems, according to the company.
