Pan And Tilt

by msecadm4921

Vista has released the VPTPLUS, an integrated 24V AC pan and tilt head system. Meeting IP66 ratings and marine finished regulations, the system is described as for demanding environments where bespoke camera and lens combinations are required.

The in-built drive is combined with a large housing to allow site specific camera and lens combinations to be used. This delivers zoom and image performance beyond standard zoom modules normally used in fully functional domes and integrated PTZ devices, according to the firm.

With two of the most popular RS485 protocols built in, integration into most CCTV systems is straightforward the firm says and, unlike many pan and tilt units, the VPT-PLUS01 is fully rotational. Four alarm inputs have been built into the head allowing the camera and alarm detectors to be locally mounted.

The system has a zero backlash feature and a 0.02° preset accuracy to ensure the camera stops exactly when and where required. Variable high pan and tilts speeds make it suitable it is claimed for tracking suspects and vehicles, even when they’re travelling at speed.

“Because the system comes complete with a camera housing, wiper and telemetry receiver built in, it reduces the requirement to order and assemble multiple items,” says Mark Pritchard, divisional director for Vista. “This helps keep costs down and also simplifies the whole installation process.”
