The Logic Group has announced a new collaboration with Semafone, which will allow clients to cover secure phone transactions for fraud risk and PCI DSS compliance.
The Logic Group provides hosted payment pages plus direct integration technologies for contact centres for secure payment processing. The payments technology is now complemented by the secure telephone call recording from Semafone, where at the point of taking a payment, the Semafone technology blocks the dial tones from the agent and call recording system, passing the payment details directly to The Logic Group for payment. This cuts the risk of fraud to the organisation and end customer, as payment information is not heard by the agent, or stored by the company.
Manipulation of employees at contact centres or direct theft of information is a common source of fraud, it’s claimed. The aim is: to allow merchants to securely take sensitive data over-the-phone. Paul Russell, Senior Solutions Marketing Manager at The Logic Group said: “We are pleased to be working with Semafone and to allow our clients to benefit from this enhancement to our PCI DSS solution. The benefits are multiple. The technology helps to protect brand image, whilst improving end user satisfaction and contact centre efficiency – not to mention improving overall security and business agility.”
Graham Thompson, Sales and Marketing Director at Semafone said: “Many call centres are not only looking to make their call recording solutions PCI DSS compliant but also to take their contact centres out of scope for PCI DSS. By taking the physical contact centre, the agent desktops, the contact centre network, the Voice over IP Network and the CRM out of scope organizations can save from hundreds of thousands of pounds to several million dependant on the size of the organization. All this can be achieved whilst eliminating the opportunity for any agent fraud.”
