Train 4 Security reports it has completed the first of a series of Eastern European training programmes.
The Polish delegates – from Warsaw and Gdansk – undertook two courses during a one-week stay in the UK. The qualifications – a SITO basic security training and a conflict management course – will now enable the Poles to apply for the industry’s licence which allows them to work in the UK, the trainers report.
The company developed the tailor-made training packages to meet the needs of security firms such as Group 4 Securicor, according to T4S. T4S adds that it teamed up with European recruitment agencies to recruit and train security personnel for the UK.
What they say
Phil Ruggiero, Managing Director of Train 4 Security said: "As a training provider for the security industry our aim is to encourage professional and learned personnel. This, combined with the supply and demand problems currently facing the UK industry, have resulted in us developing a new strategy to recruit and train people from the European Union. The success of this first training programme now means we aim to target countries such as Slovakia, The Czech Republic, Latvia and Lithuania. We look forward to working with these countries to benefit both parties – people who wish to work in a rewarding industry and the UK security industry itself."
To work in the UK security industry, applicants must have passed a Level 2 English examination. Train 4 Security conduct individual interviews with each applicant and if successful can provide five to 10 year vetting registers. You can ring Phil Ruggiero on 01905 770 742.
