Police Family Challenge

by msecadm4921

Northgate Information Solutions, a sponsor of this year’s APCO conference alongside IFSEC, is calling for stronger relationships between the police, the wider police family and the public to enable global and local challenges to be met.

Strengthening these relationships is crucial to delivering a police service that enjoys the support, trust and direct involvement of all citizens, the firm says. But the police service alone cannot meet the joint challenges of safer local communities and enhanced national security, the company adds.

Increased joint working between the police and emergency services, health services, local authorities and the wider community is essential to delivering community justice. Technology can support this process, but only when a people-centred approach to change management is in place, it is claimed.

What they say

David Meaden, Managing Director of Northgate Public Services, said: “Northgate is delighted to be the main sponsor of this important annual event. We wholeheartedly support the development of a citizen-centred police service able to respond effectively to both local and national challenges in the right way, at the right time, every time.

“The challenges of modern policing are not something that the police can meet alone. All stakeholders must focus on improving communications and information sharing to ultimately improve their service to citizens. We look forward to sharing our vision with APCO conference delegates and joining in the exciting debates on the future of policing."
